Yes—on F1 visa, you may work on campus up to twenty hours/week during semesters, full time during breaks. Off-campus work requires CPT (curricular) or OPT (post completion) authorisation. RIT is co-op heavy, so CPT eligible co-ops are common and career transforming. Breaking the rules (unauthorised off-campus work) jeopardises status, so coordinate with RIT's International Student Services for every step. Pay can comfortably offset living expenses in Rochester if you land a good co? op.

Yes, Rochester Tech USA permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work for unlimited hours.
