9 years agoI finished my MBA in HR & marketing in July 2016 but couldn't get a proper HR job. What should I do?

Just work there and learn various things related to HR. Gain some experience and then apply for core HR jobs in MNCs. If you work for atleast 1 year in a consultancy, after that you will get better options. After gaining some experience then you can give IELTS exam to get job in Canada or US. First you should have experience of 2 to 3 years and try to get a job in MNCs.

A student having major as Marketing and minor as IB usually gets placed at a package of 5-6lakhs pa in MAIT.
Sorry I don't have any idea about how good is GITA RATAN for IB specialization.
but in my opinion MAIT is much better than GITA RATAN in terms of overall placements.

It is a very interesting question, indeed. See, for marketing you have two large aspects. One is selling the product and the other is the customer. The customer buys a product as per his/her needs. So, any company that is marketing a product takes care of those customer needs so that they can sell their products. But, when the marketing strategy of a company is only from the stand point of selling the product and does not work on fulfilling the needs of the customer then this is called Marketing Myopia. There is no harm in doing a job along with MBA. But in my view, the best is if you do a job for 1-2 years and then go for MBA as it will make more sense as then you will have the basic understanding of market and corporate culture.
