Dear Allen, SAT 2 also known as SAT subject tests are tests in particular subjects such as math and science based on your academic interest and to demonstrate your strength in a particular area.SAT subject tests are optional however Ivy Leagues in USA require these tests in addition to the general SAT. I will advice you to refer to collegeboard.org for details and updates. You will also find the new syllabus here.

SAT exam contains primarily Maths and English. English consists of Reading, writing, grammar and other parts. Writing an essay is optional, it depends upon the school you are going to apply to.
There are also SAT subject tests available that contains physics, chem etc. Subject tests have to be taken if your school specifically asks for them.

Hi Kuldeep,
There is no limitation. Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

Hey there, i am in the same stage, like i am into twelfth now and i am preparing for IIT and also wish to appear for SAT. I think preparing for jee gets u through for the math section in SAT if u check the papers. English needs some attention. Work on that before appearing for the exam, solve papers. Maybe it would work out well.
