To become a government teacher for the Maths subject, first, you need to complete B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) after your B.Tech. Since you are already a graduate in civil engineering, B.Ed will take just 2 years. Choose Maths as your teaching subject in B.Ed.

Also use that time during B.Ed to prepare for exams like CTET and TET.

After that, you  clear the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or state-level TET exam to be eligible for government teaching jobs. Some states may have separate teaching exams like KVS, NVS, so prepare for them accordingly.
