Yes, SEED will conduct a mock test for B.Des Admission 2026. The Mock test will be conducted on January 07, 2026, and the exams will be conducted on January 11, 2026.

SEED Admit Card 2026 for the B.Des programme will be out on January 05, 2026. SEED exam will be conducted on January 11, 2026. The admit card will have all the details of the exam.

SEED 2026 Application is out for the B.Des Programme. The Application started on August 01, 2025, and will be open till November 30, 2025. Application for M.Des is not out yet.

The SEED 2025 written will be a 60 minutes exam. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots between 10 am and 4 pm.

The SEED question paper will include 60 questions.

The following types of questions will be asked during the exam - MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based.

Further, the paper will contain a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

Candidates who have prepared a handmade portfolio will have to click pictures of best work, compile it in and upload the PDF format on the given link (available shortly). Showcasing the handmade portfolio during PI round is not allowed. It is compulsory to upload the work before the allocated slot for interaction. Also, the size of the digital portfolio must not be more that 5 MB. Also, the portfolio must be in the form of a Power Point Presentation of maximum 15 slides.

Yes, there is a possibility that one can be asked to. The candidate must have basic stationery including pen, paper, and pencils available during their PI session. The personal interaction round of SEED 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates who are shortlisted for personal interaction will have to book their slots within the given window. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. 

The final merit list of SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.

Candidates who get shortlisted for the PRPI round has to upload a digital portfolio. The portfolio may include the following items:

  • Sketches, mixed media illustrations and digital work  

  • Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles  

  • Photography  

  • 3D objects like sculpture, fabric products, gadgets, art inspired products etc. 

In addition to the items listed above, the candidate may also include any other item that represents the candidate’s passion and abilities.
