Candidates are not required to submit an elementary drawing exam certificate for the Admission Procedure at SID. The candidate merely needs to meet the academic, qualifying exam, and age criteria. Eligible candidate next needs to appear in the SEED 2027. Those qualifying in the exam will have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final results would be prepared by giving weightage to the SEED 2027 exam and the PRPI.

SEED question paper is of moderate difficulty level. It can be solved easily by candidates in given time duration. Candidates who are preparing for top design entrance exams like NIFT and NID DAT, can easily crack SEED exam.

Candidate will need around 6 months or so to prepare for the SEED exam. If the candidate has a good understanding of fundamentals, it will take even less time.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will not release any answer keys for the SEED exam. Also, note that given the SEED exam will be administered in a remote-proctored mode, there will be no hard copy of the question paper. In the absence of the question paper and answer key, the candidate will have to bank on their memory to calculate probable scores.

There is no fixed number that you need to solve to prepare for SEED exam. If you solve enough sample papers, it will help you improve your problem solving ability. Also, if you keep a timer, you can work on your time management skills when solving sample papers. You can start solving sample papers very early in your exam preparation. For instance, once you have completed a chapter, you can solve the relevant sample papers related to the chapter.

The SEED application fee is INR. 3250 (INR. 2250/- for SEED & INR. 1000/- for SID). The fee has to be paid online. Offline payments will not be accepted.

Candidates may note that the registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. So, the candidate needs to go forward and pay the application fee only if they are sure about appearing in the SEED exam.
