Yes, there is a possibility that one can be asked to. The candidate must have basic stationery including pen, paper, and pencils available during their PI session. The personal interaction round of SEED 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates who are shortlisted for personal interaction will have to book their slots within the given window. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The final merit list of SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.

There is no negative marking in SEED 2026. So, even if candidates make any wrong attempts, no marks will be deducted. SEED question paper will include a total of 60 questions that candidate has to attempt in 60 minutes. Each question will carry +1 mark.

Given the candidate has only one minute per question, the candidate must work on their time managent. Also, even though there is no negative marking, the candidate must try to improve their strike rate or the number of correct attempts. This will help the candidate improve their changes of getting a better score and thus improve their chances of admission.

Ideally, a digital portfolio should be a compilation of the best works showcasing the candidate's skills, passion and interest in a variety of areas and techniques. One must make sure to include the work he/ she is the proudest of. Try to be different and include unique and interesting things. Note that if the admission committee feels that any unfair means was adopted in the making of your portfolio, the candidature of the candidfate may be cancelled. The maximum size of the portfolio should be 5 MB. Click good quality pictures of these and compile them in a Power Point Presentation of maximum 15 slides.

For an experienced faculty, it is not very difficult to distinguish work that is self-made or ready-made. During the Personal Interaction round, the candidate will be asked questions based on their submitted portfolio. If any unfair means are observed, the candidature will stand cancelled. The specifications reqiuired for submitting the portfolio will be notified by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) at the time of release of the admission notification or sometime thereabout.

There is no fixed number that you need to solve to prepare for SEED 2026 exam. If you solve enough sample papers, it will help you improve your problem solving ability. Also, if you keep a timer, you can work on your time management skills when solving sample papers. You can start solving sample papers very early in your exam preparation. For instance, once you have completed a chapter, you can solve the relevant sample papers related to the chapter.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will not release any answer keys for the SEED 2026 exam. Also, note that given the SEED exam will be administered in a remote-proctored mode, there will be no hard copy of the question paper. In the absence of the question paper and answer key, the candidate will have to bank on their memory to calculate probable scores.

Note that scores of the SEED 2026 exam will be used to shortlist candidates for a PRPI round. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in the PRPI round to be included in the final merit list.

The SEED 2026 exam will be conducted in an online, remote-proctored mode. This means there will be no hard copies of the question paper that the candidate can carry with them outside the exam centre. The best the candidate can do in the circumstances to remember the questions. These memory-based questions can be used by the candidate later to calculate probable scores. To calculate probable scores, first calculate the number of correct attempts, and then using the official marking scheme, calculate the score.
