The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will conduct the mock tests in online mode only. There will be no option to take the mocks in offline mode. The mock tests will be uploaded on the SID admission portal - sid.ed.in. To take the mock tests, the candidate will have to log in to the portal using candidate credentials.
SID will conduct two mock test; the 1st mock will be conducted on December 17, followed by the 2nd mock test on December 18, 2023.

Yes, SEED is compulsory for admission to the BDes programme at Symbiosis Institute of Design. Passing the exam followed by Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction rounds is necessary. For students appearing for SEED for the first time, SEED preparation tips can be helpful. Also do fill out the application form timely so that exam preparation can be started early. Other than this, hard work and determination are very important.

Ideally, the candidate must be ready for the online exam an hour or so before the exam commences. The Symbiosis Institute of Design will release the detailed reporting time on its official website.
The SEED written exams will be conducted in an online, proctored, computer-based model. This means the candidate can take the exam from any location of their choice.

The SEED 2026 exam will be conducted in an online proctored mode. So, there is no option to select or change exam centres.
At the time of filling out the SEED 2026 application form, the candidate doesn't need to select any exam centre.
Candidates may note that the 1st phase of the SEED entrance exam includes written tests. If the candidate gets shortlisted, then hr or she has to next appear in a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round.

The exam conducting body i.e. SIU of Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is responsible for allocating/ assigning the exam centre to the candidate. It may be noted that the SEED 2025 exam will be administered in an online proctored mode. So, the candidate will not be allocated an exam centre. Instead, the candidate will be able to take the written exams from a place of choice.
The details related to the online exam will be uploaded on the SID admission portal - sid.edu.in. The candidate needs to carefully go through the exam guidelines.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will announce the 1st seat allotment for the B.Des programme in the last week og April 2026. The seat allotment will be announced in the form of a merit list containing the names of candidates shortlisted for admission. Candidates included in the merit list will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee and register online for the B.Des program.

There will be no specific counseling registration process for SEED 2027. In fact, candidates will be allocated seats to the B.Des programme based on their merit rank in the SEED 2027 entrance exam.
