Kolhapur, this is the place that is famous in Maharashtra for folk music, folk cinema, arts etc. Since ages. In fact in olden days, majority of Marathi Cinemas were produced here. This necessitated requirement of designers of sets, interior, clothing, textiles etc.
Hence, no wonder that Kalaprabodhini decided to have their institute of design in this city. The courses offered are affiliated to Shivaji University, and hence follow the expected pattern.
However, I am worried about the placements, since Kolhapur is not having a big industrial base. Also, the film studios have shifted out and hence corresponding requirement of designers of different hues is also reduced. Though, it must be accepted that the college is doing everything it can to enable students to get placed. Unfortunately, status or data of the latest years is not available on it's website. But, this could be a consideration for prospective students.

You must make yourself confident on using any of the cameras available in India. One must control his command over Shutter speed, ISO and Aperture than every photograph becomes pro. If you are asking about the worthiness, then I would say 'yes', it is worthy. But, make sure about your future plans and strategy. The reason why I am saying that, is because the scope of both these course leads in same direction. In B.Tech Civil Engineering, you will learn about the Mathematics behind construction of infrastructure. The material strength, geography material mechanics and etc. Whereas, in M.Arch your study will revolves around designing and planning execution of the infrastructural projects. You will learn about the industrial, commercial and government organizational structures and their execution. So, from my opinion, it is very good thinking, if you are going for M.Arch after B.Tech Civil Engineering. This combination will give you very high job designation like; Business Development Manager, Project Manager, Production Manager, Senior Technical Advisory, Chief Technical Officer etc. This combination is good, if you are dedicated enough about your career.

Amongst the two institutions - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, one should blindly go for Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. This college has very good course structure and provides excellent placement opportunities to the students offering it at HCL, IBM, EMC etc. With the very magnificent facility of Global Exchange programme served even to Design students, the college stands out granting them global design exposure. Looking at UPES, the college is extremely good, however, not for B. Des, because the biggest drawback that anyone can face is that one student can't change his/her branch in second year, if they find their bursting enthusiasm in other branch. Also, the college doesn't have design oriented environment for the students.
The fees of this course at UPES is also additionally comparatively higher than that in the other institute.
If one finds the fee not to be too much hiked then they ought to go for Pearl Academy.

There is no practical relations between B.Tech in computer Science and B.Architecture. As you know that these two have no direct relations.
However, if you are asking for difficulty level, then I would say that B.Tech CS is more difficult than B.Arch. Actually, this is my personal bias. Some students may find B.Tech CS very easy. So, the difficulty level is all a relative term. Out of the given two options, which one is better, completely depends upon you and your future goals. If you want to make career in Computer Science, Information Technology, Hacking, or any computer (or IT) related stuffs, then B.Tech CS is the best option, wheares B.Arch will leads you somewhat in civil engineering fields. This gives you the chance to become an Architect, Planner, Designer etc.

B.Arch involves the basic to the most advanced things of architecture. An architect is basically a professional who deals with the design and construction of buildings. I wouldn't suggest anybody to go for seeking after M.Des from University Of Petroleum and Energy Studies, because the required environment that a Designing student should get is not present here.
Furthermore, also if the placements are bad, no reason would overwhelm to concede affirmation in this college for planning to study even after various great open doors.
If one doesn't get admission in other better college then only one should go for taking admission in UPES for designing keeping it at the last priority. There are much better institutes in the nation like NIDs or Pearl Academy.
