SEE actually it depends on rank because some time papers could be tough so if you score less also then you can get RV but for the same thing if papers are easy then you have to score more to get into same, generally according to previous trends if your rank comes in rank band of 56k max (speaking about general category) can be helpful to fetch you seat in RV

If your rank is in 3 digits it's best but for chemical engineering, civil engineering, industrial management engineering and biotechnology engineering there can be low ranks(5k,10k)
And don't join a course just because the college is great, wait and see all the courses
Check their syllabus then choose your interested course n then join the most optimal college in your rank

I don't think you have any chance in RV College at this rank in civil engineering. RV College is a top college in Karnataka. may be u can score below 5K

Eligibility for Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board:
Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B. Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. The cut off is approx. 130-140, based on that you can judge. Rank may not be the right way to interpret.

Better try in stream 2 you have a chance in stream 2 because of 10/10 grade but via stream 1 it is difficult because of the mains rank . better apply for both -all the best :)
