All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth. To become a software engineer you may opt for courses such as :
• Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Bachelor of Science (hons.) in Software Engineering
• Master of Computer Applications
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Apart from these courses, you can also take up some specialized courses in institutions such as NIIT, Aptech etc. Also, it is better to have some recognized certification such as Oracle, Microsoft, etc on specific areas like programming, database, networking and hardware. See,In engineering there is no degree like software engineering and hardware engineering.
If you are studied for the computer engineering or CS also then you should have to cover entire syllabus because it is design in that fashion, After the completion of degree If you are good in programming then you will be considered as software engineer,and if you are good in Networking and Hardware then you will be considered as hardware engineer.
In today's era Software engineer is in full demand but for that you should have to develop your programming skills,also do some certifications

B.E in CSE is best.no matter u do B.E or B.Tech there is not much difference between B.E and B.Tech.B.E will be more theoretical and B.Tech will be practical.

in any field like job opportunities ,eligibility ,etc b.tech is far better then diploma.and if u doing ur btch then it is good fr u.
let's talk about the deploma after class 10-.after class 10 u doesn't have the besic idea of engineering .for idea u have to complete 10+2.and in job opportunities approx every companies want the eligibility of 10+2.so b tech is more preferable
