The SSC-CGL is a competitive examination based on 4 sections: aptitude, reasoning, general awareness, and English. Among these sections, English and quantitative aptitude are of prime importance, as they are the ones which form the major chunk of the examination. So, these should be given due importance.
Further, you should work on above-mentioned subjects while preparing for the SSC exam. In your free time, you can sharpen your skills in various sections which will make you competent enough to crack the examination in the first go.
Plus, also make a habit of following current affairs and news regularly.

First of all, clear all your basics. Secondly, be quick at calculation. Don't be stressed before giving examination. Now, please give 3-4 hours to library daily, make it a regular habit. At last, don't get yourself distracted with mobile phones, because it will decrease your will power. That's all.
