For international students, admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2. So, you do not have to appear for entrance exam.

Hello Trina,
SSN College of Engineering follows the guidelines by Anna University for admission in engineering colleges. Here the admissions are given based on guidelines issued by Anna University for 65% of the total intake and is based on the marks obtained in 12th standard by the Tamil Nadu Board of students who are to domiciled in Tamil Nadu. The remaining seats are distributed under different categories. But these too are filled up based on merit of 12th marks only. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information in detail about the admission process and the different quotas in SSM Institute of Engineering.

Hi Prasanth,
You wouldn't ask this question in the first place if you really know about both SSN and PSG Tech. PSG Tech is a tier 1 college and SSN is a tier 2 college in placement, faculty, infrastructure, etc. Usually, the Chennaites who don't get PSG, GCT or CIT prefer SSN. I think both colleges provide almost equal exposure and opportunities and to answer your question - yes, PSG Tech is far better than SSN because of advantage of studying in PSG is that you will always have their brand name behind your back even after you leave the college. Hello Arun,
The admission is based on your class 12th board exam scores only. And, in more specific the scores in PCM is mandatory. As SSN is affiliated to Anna University, you can get admission by applying for TNEA counseling program.
Try to have a cut off score of 195 /200 and above, so that you can get EEE in SSN.

Thiagarajar School of Management (Co-Ed), Madurai
Kumaraguru College of Technology, Chinnavedampatti Post, Coimbatore
St. Joseph's College of Engineering, OMR, Chennai
Easwari Engineering College, Ramapuram, Chennai
RMK Engineering College, Gummidipoondi, Thiruvallur
Except for Anna University-CEG campus, other government. Colleges do not have good placement records or training facilities. So, avoid other government. Colleges. Hope this helps !

You should opt for SSN College of Engineering as it is 100 times better than MIT campus as SSN has world-class laboratories and highly skilled professors with the strict class routine this is the best thing that is most important for the college going students.
