This is a college with nice campus life and good placements.

Placements: 80% of students got placed and average package was 4 LPA. Core offers will be less. You will find a number of IT roles. Mostly, they will be software developer and analyst roles. It would be pretty tough to get an offer due to lot of competition. The top companies like Amazon, L&T and Google.

Infrastructure: Infrastructures is good when it comes to college but not with hostel and mess. Food can be improvised. Hostel rooms will be too small. Mess food is not like home. Wi-Fi is really poor. Canteen is bit pricey but not tasty. About sports, if you want to join in any game, you should have some records from school.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, but some are annoying. Semester exams will be really hard. The pass mark is 50. You have to score in both the internals and externals. Curriculum is relevant, but I can't say that if it will make you industry ready or not.

College is really awesome with excellent placements, infrastructure and education.

Placements: Around 97% opted for placements got placed, With the highest package of 1.17 crore from the company MOTORQ and average package is around 10 LPA. In our department around 95 percent of people who opted for placements have placed from our batch. The highest package is 28.5 LPA, the lowest package - 4.5 LPA and average package offered is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters for our department are Amazon, Deloitte, L&T, Technip Energies, Dove chemicals, Wood pvt Ltd, LatentView analytics, Byjus, Crayon data, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys etc. Internships: Few students got internships in third year in the company dove chemicals and few got internships in final year from Amazon, Cognizant etc. Roles: mostly placed as GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee), Analysts, Managers, developers etc.

Infrastructure: The college has best infrastructure and is one of the top 10 most beautiful Campuses in India. Has best lab, classroom and library facilities. Complete campus is covered with high-speed free Wi-fi (both hostels and departments). Hostel facility: We have seperate boys and girls. Which includes single, double and triple shared rooms, AC and Non AC rooms. As our college is full of greenery, the hostel environment is awesome. Food: In mess we have both veg and non veg, the taste is decent. Apart from mess, there are many canteens with almost all food items. Medical facilities: We have In-Campus clinic for medical care. Sports and Games: SSN is well known for it's sports facilities, It has football stadium, cricket stadium, two indoor stadiums, two gyms etc. Most of the students play for District, National and International. Some of the famous Alumni in sports from this college include Ravichandran Ashwin (Indian cricket team), Murugan Ashwin (IPL player) etc. Every year our college provide scholarships in sports category.

Faculty: Teaching quality: Teachers are highly qualified. Almost everyone is a Ph.D. holder and are not soo strict, they create friendly and healthy learning environment in department. Teaching quality is very good. Course Curriculum: Curriculum is according to Anna University, but being autonomous is advantageous to our college in upgrading syllabus. Apart from regular syllabus there are many student chapters from various Civil Engineering organisations and MOUs from many industries helping students to be industry ready. Also, there is mandatory one month industrial summer internship in the 6th semester that has to be done by students. Exams: There will be three Continuous Assessment Tests CAT per semester. Semester exams are moderate if we study properly, and pass percentage is also high.

Other: I chose this course based on interest had in 12th, but our college and department encouraged us in the domain we are interested in, personally I got interest in data Science in college and placed as analyst in Oncampus drive. Need some small improvements in labs other than that it's cool. Events and fests: There will be lot of events throughout out the year, but there are two flagship events namely Instincts (cultural fest) and Invente (Technical fest), both will be conducted for three days each. Apart from this campus is famous for movie shootings, you can SEE our college in most of the movies, especially iconic Clocktower and SSN fountain. Connectivity: Campus is not too crowded, we have healthy connection with our seniors and peers and everyone is really friendly here. Campus Surroundings: College is full of greenery and pollution free, you can find variety of birds like in a sanctuary, especially peacocks (don't expect them to roam around in a day). Campus is nearer to city area, about 5 minutes to the nearest kelambakkam. Marina Mall and siruseri tech-park are around 15 to 20 min. Scholarships: Every year there will be a scholarship day. Our college provide scholarships worth around 6 crores to deserved students every year in various categories like Merit scholarship, Merit cum means scholarship, Rural scholarship, sports scholarship, Alumni scholarship etc. I am happy to share that I was too a scholarship awardee every year in merit category. Extra curricular Activities: There are lot of student clubs in various disciplines like film, photography, Dance, Music, Drawing and arts, mathematics, creativity, Model United Nations (MUN) etc., where you can be a member and explore yourself. Social volunteering: Apart from these clubs, there are social volunteering committees where you have to register atleast in one, like NSS (National Service Scheme), YRC (Youth Red Cross) etc.

Review of SSN College of Engineering.

Placements: Placements were good, there were 50 students out of which 30 students got on-campus placements. The maximum salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The role offered was digital analyst.

Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi was enabled with a password and students can access it throughout the campus. Students will be provided access to their self-developed learning platform. The food served in the canteen was good. The mess was good. It provides well-maintained hostels and provides washroom with 24X7 maintainence.

Faculty: Faculty members were dedicated and hardworking in making students understand the concept. They were also helpful about the internships and guidelines to get a job, with their effort in good deliverance students had good percentage in exams.

Other: I chose civil engineering because I am a civil service aspirant and it was well organised department for students. Events and cultural fests like techno fest, and so on were held in this college.

Review of SSN College of Engineering (SSNCE).

Placements: About 40% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like L&T and Adani Group visit our campus for placements. A top role offered to the students is graduate engineer trainee. About 2-3% of the students got an internship in companies like Dow Chemicals.

Infrastructure: Our department is furnished with modern computer lab for the software course. The college provides a department library for students access. All department books and published papers can be obtained from the department library. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the college hours and can be accessed using our mobile phones and in the computer lab. Quality of the hostel is not bad, but the food served is good. Canteen service is available from 8 am to 9 pm. We have a doctor in the bio-medical department who is available in most of the occasions. It provides a well-furnished sports complex. Indoor games like badminton, squash, table tennis and gym are available. Outdoor games like throw ball, volleyball, basketball court, track events, football court, cricket court, etc., are also available for the students.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are quite helpful. They had sufficient knowledge about the subjects. Their teaching quality is not bad. They are able to answer our doubts clearly. The course curriculum is slightly irrelevant to the industry because the industry is modernised, and we still learn the old techniques. This course doesn't completely make the student industry-ready, but it helps them to go halfway through the industries by providing basic knowledge.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like the marvel of constructing structures. I wish it would be better if the college provides more practical classes and industrial events. Many events, fests and activities are organised at our college. Students can easily participate in any of the events.

Satisfied with my department and facutlies.

Placements: 1.80% students has already got placed in core and IT companies. 2. The highest package was 22lpa and the lowest was 3lpa. 3. L&T, Wood, ACC cement, RDC concrete etc. recruited the students. 4. Graduate engineer trainee, Management trainee etc. roles were offered. 5. 3 LPA was the salary offered to our course. 6. 4 students got internship in ACC cement.

Infrastructure: 1. College has company library and each department has separate department library, Wi-Fi facilities and we'll facilitated labs. 2. The quality of hostel is good and comfortable. The quality of hostel mess food is moderate. 3. Our college provide more importance to sports.

Faculty: 1. The teachers are always helpful. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and doing more researches in their respective fields. 2. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. For civil engineering, it alwasy comes with experience so it takes some more knowledge for the students Industry ready.

Other: I love civil engineering. I wish I would need to know more about civil engineering.
