To get a seat through management quota at SSN, you need to write an entrance exam. You may contact the college administration regarding the exam and admission procedures. However, if you have a good cut off, it is an added advantage even while going via management quota.

Both of these are good colleges for doing engineering. Both are competitive with each other and are equal. If you consider education, placements and rankings, both will almost be the same. But SASTRA University has its own syllabus and curriculum as it is a deemed university, therefore, preferring SASTRA over SSN is of high interest. So you can prefer any one of these for engineering. The only thing is that SSN comes under Anna University, so the syllabus will be the same for all the affiliated colleges. But an important reason to say no to SASTRA is their absolute grading system (meaning, a student has to reach a specific cut off
