Hi. Universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University select candidates through JNUEE entrance test, Banaras Hindu University selects candidates through BHU PET entrance exam, and the Indian Statistical Institute conducts its own entrance tests for the selection of students. Most exams concentrate on areas of mathematical Statistics topic-oriented knowledge and skills. Thanks.

Yes. Currently if you have a degree in mathematics, Statistics or economics is considered to be a boon. The current requirement for big data analytics, data analytics, business analyst and many more jobs on these lines require candidates to have a good knowledge in the above mentioned subjects. I think you can go ahead with what you have planned. If you are good at your subject then companies would absorb you with a good salary. Hope I have answered your query.
