Being a state Technical University, The IKGPTU has not achieve the level for which University deserved. The placement scenario of University is not too satisfactory and only 7 students from Jalandhar campus has been selected in Infosys in January 2020, While 24 from other affiliated colleges. I think you should go with B.Sc. Statistics, because B.Sc. Data Science students have big competition with B.Tech CSE students and most of the companies prefers to select the B.Tech CSE students in place of B.Sc. Students.
