Yes, the city of Odense is known for its relatively low crime rate & presence of friendly members in the community.

The city is described as well-lit & walking alone at night is usually quite secure. The public transport system is good remaining active even during late nights and the overall consensus among those living there is the city is pretty safe however always staying vigilant is advised.

Yes, you can study in Germany without knowing German by enrolling in one of the many English-taught programs offered by universities. However, learning basic German may be helpful for daily life outside academics.

SDU graduates are of high demand to some prominent public & private organizations in Denmark & abroad due to their highly skilled nature as a result of the industry standard rigorous curriculum they go through. Some prominent organizations offering employment to SDU graduates includes: Novo Nordisk, Odense Kommune, the LEGO group & OUH Odense University Hospital among others.

SDU has an international student acceptance rate of around 35%, making the university somewhat selective at granting admissions to international students.

The institute prioritises highly qualified individuals & therefore interested candidates must perform well in academics as well as entrance exams & maintain a solid resume to have a better chance of securing a seat at the university.

Studies in Denmark can be costly depending on the university, course & the type of accommodation students opt for.

The per-semester tuition costs ranges between INR 6.2 L-INR 7.5 L at the University of Southern Denmark while the estimated cost of living in Southern Denmark as per student data given by the university is around INR 7.2 L annually.

This includes the cost of accommodation, food, phone & internet, books & study supplies, gym membership & transportation.

The University of Southern Denmark accepts a standard application fee of around EUR 100 (INR 9,300) from all non-EU applicants. The fee is to be paid before the submission of the application & is only taken once, irrespective of the number of priority application a student decides to submit.

The university does not consider any international application without the submission of the fee mentioned above.

The University of Southern Denmark course fee varies with the course & specialisation.

The university accepts course fee on a per-semester basis. The per-semester cost of a BSc in Software Engineering programme is around EUR 7,500 (INR 6.94 L), while that of a MSc in Software Engineering is EUR 6,950 (INR 6.43 L).

Prospective students must also plan for some other costs such as rent, food, electricity, maintenance, insurance, public transport, etc. associated with living in Denmark while planning their studies.
