Yes, applicants must submit one letter of recommendation duly signed by a school counsellor of an recognised institution as part of the application.

Students can upload the LOR via the Common Application Portal or ask their teachers to do the same on their behalf.

To convert your Indian credits into ECTS credits, you must know the conversion factor or conversion ratio between the two. This conversion ratio varies and depends on your course and university. Now, follow the below-given steps to convert Indian credits to ECTS credits:

  • Obtain the conversion factor: Contact your university's international office or study abroad advisor to get the conversion factor.
  • Multiply the credit hours: Multiply the number of credit hours for each course by the conversion factor.
  • Calculate total ECTS credits: Add up the ECTS credits for all your completed courses to get your total.

Though, the institute does not specify any GPA requirements, as per data curated from unofficial sources, the minimum GPA of successful U of S applicants is around 3.6.

Prospective students will need a mix of A's & B's, with the majority leaning towards A's. Applicants who took Andhra Pradesh or IB classes get a boost to their weighted GPA during the application process.
