The United States of America offers three types of visas to students; F-1, J-1 and M-1. The fees of the student visa depends on the type that has been chosen to apply for. So, the cost of a student visa will depend on the type of visa you are applying for. F-1 visa is for international students who are applying for a programme in any American university that requires more than 18 hours of study in a week. The US visa cost for an F-1 student visa is USD 185.

After graduating with an MBA in Business Analytics, Graduates can apply for an Optional Practical Training (OPT). This is a type of post-study work visa that allows the graduates a time duration of 12 months of work authorization in the US. Graduates can also opt for a 24-month STEM OPT extension, as Business Analytics is considered a STEM field. Applicants must have full knowledge of their course and US university they have applied to. They must show interest in coming back to home country and must explain well as to why they wish to study in USA. They must also submit all necessary details in their DS-160 form along with their social media handles (for social media vetting for US visa interview). The F1 visa fee is USD 185 which is INR 16,066. Applicants applying for the F1 visa have to pay this amount. The SEVIS fee is different from F1 visa fee, thus, these two should not be mixed with one another.

Yes, F1 visa applications can be rejected if the documents are wrong or missing. Applicants at all costs must adhere to the F1 visa documentation requirements so that they do not face any rejections. Also avoid submitting incorrect information, be clear with your intentions and in case of discrepancies be ready with answers also (if the need may arise).

Getting an F1 visa can be challenging, but it is not impossible. The difficulty of obtaining an F1 visa depends on several factors, including your financial situation, academic qualifications, and ties to your home country. If you can demonstrate that you have strong ties to your home country and that you plan to return after your studies, you are more likely to be approved for an F1 visa.
