The Metro Institute in Australia offers Diploma of business, leadership and management and community service. The Diploma of Business will prepare you to manage business resources, meetings, budget and financial plans. You will be able to lead communications and build business relations. It will also prepare you to develop workplace policies and increase productivity within the teams. The units within Diploma of Leadership and Management are also similar with some focusing more in leading difficult conversations, becoming emotionally intelligent and managing people's performance. Pursuing the Diploma of Community Service will enable you to deliver, manage and co-ordinate people-centric services to individuals or bigger groups while also supervising other workers and volunteers.

Generally speaking, all the Diploma and certificates that are focused on business, leadership and management run for a year (12 months or 52 weeks). In this duration, you get 40 weeks of training and 12 weeks of break. The training for 40 weeks is equally distributed as four 10-week training schedule. The Diploma of Community Services is the longest course that spans two years. You get 80 weeks of terms here and 24 weeks of break. Besides, the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) is an 18-month long programme with 60 weeks of learning and 18 weeks break. The General English course spans around 70 weeks, which includes breaks of 10 weeks.

For admission purpose, Alpha Institute accept IELTS scores of 6.0 (or equivalent). Other test scores such as PTE and Duolingo are also acceptable by the institute. The test result of these exams should not be more than two years old. Therefore, international students must check the eligibility of their English proficiency test result. In case the test result is older than two years, the applicants need to take the English proficiency exams again to submit the valid scores. If the overall scores of IELTS is less that 6.0 bands or equivalent, the institute may ask for enrolment in a General English course as a pathway to the actual course you intend to pursue.

Incase, you are not able to find suitable scholarship opportunities with your university, you can look for external scholarships in India. McNamara Fellowships Program, Hani Zeini Scholarship and many more can provide you the much-needed financial assistance. However, the competition is much higher in these external scholarships. Incase, finance is a concern for you, you must select universities with good scholarship opportunities.

There are no scholarships which are provided by Alpha Institute for Indian Students. However, they can certainly consider applying to external scholarship opportunities such as Narotam Sekhsaria's Scholarships, J.N. Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship, Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program, Hani Zeini Scholarship and many more. These scholarships are mainly merit based; thus, the students need to check the eligibility criteria before selecting the right scholarship. Also, the number of awardees for these scholarships are limited, so Indian students are advised to apply well on time and meet the scholarship requirements to become a scholar.
