IIM Ahmedabad is a top-ranked business school in India with global recognition, strong industry connections, and high placement rates. Aston University in UK is well-regarded, especially for international exposure, but it does not match IIM Ahmedabad's prestige in management education. If your goal is strong career prospects in India, IIM Ahmedabad is the better choice, while Aston may offer better opportunities in UK.

Not necessarily mandatory, but likely required. The DAAD requires proof of language proficiency, which can often be demonstrated with an IELTS score. However, the specific language requirements and accepted tests vary depending on the programme and the language of instruction. Some programs may accept other English proficiency tests (like TOEFL) or may not require an English test if you can demonstrate proficiency through other means (e.g., if your previous degree was taught entirely in English). One are advised to check the specific DAAD programme details for exact language requirements.
