Yes, it can be considered expensive to study in Sweden as the annual tuition fee for international students is in the range INR 7 L – 38 L. Also, note that you will also have to bear the cost of living in the country. Hence, the average annual expenses will sum up to around 30 L for overseas students.

No, education in Sweden is not free for international students. Only Swedish students enjoy the privileges of cost free education in Sweden. For international students, the average first year tuition fee in universities in Switzerland is around INR 15 L – 25 L.
