Currently, the counselling process is going on for admission to the BSc course at IMU Chennai, which has been released. In this Chennai campus, candidates who qualify for IMU CET can register themselves for the counselling process after the release of the IMU CET list. The application form usually starts in the month of April/ May every academic year. For, the academic batch 2025, the last date to fill out the IMU CET Application form was 2 May 2025.  

Yes, IMU Chennai does offer a BSc course for the duration of three years. The campus only offers one specialisation in the BSc course, i.e., Nautical Science. Further, the course is divided into six semesters and offered in full-time mode. To get admission into this course, candidates must complete the basic eligibility requirement, secure valid scores in the entrance exam, and then go through a counselling process. 

Candidates typically join JIT - Jaya Institute of Technology for B.E. / B.Tech through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process. Eligibility requires passing HSC (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, usually with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories). Aspiring students must apply for TNEA, participate in the counseling based on their 12th marks, and secure an allotment. Lateral entry to the second year is also available for Diploma holders.
