Soon after the TANCET registration window opens, Anna University starts releasing the application status PDF. The TANCET application status PDF comprises the list of test takers who did not upload the images with the correct specifications or who failed to upload any image. Such candidates are allowed to access the TANCET login portal and make the required rectifications. Candidates are allowed to upload a new image with the correct specifications. Candidates failing to use the login to get the correct image uploaded are not issued the TANCET hall ticket.

TANCET application fee may or may not change across exam sessions. The application fee for TANCET was revised previously. Earlier, candidates had to pay INR 400 if they belonged to reserved categories and INR 800 if they belonged to unreserved categories. However, the fee for all categories was hiked. Unreserved categories had to pay INR 1000 and INR 500, respectively. Since the exam fees was revised in the recent session, Anna University is unlikely to change the same again. However, the application details along with the TANCET registration fee is to release soon.

Candidates can choose up to one exam city preference while filling the
application form. Anna University allots the exam centre within the preferred exam city or at a the nearest location to the city. However, choosing the exam city preference while filling the form will not guarantee allotment of the exam centre in that particular city. Anna University allocates the test centre considering the best possible comfort of the test takers. Anna University does not entertain any requests for change in the exam centre of exam city.

TANCET exam is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA admission. Earlier, the exam was conducted for admission to Engineering courses offered at PG level. CEETA PG 2023 came into existence with the scrappage of TANCET for Engineering courses. The space below mentions the number of candidates who have applied in th east three exam sessions of TANCET:

Candidates filling the TANCET application form need to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in a pre defined format. While uploading images, candidates must follow the below mentioned specifications:
Image Upload Specifications for Photograph
Height - 300px
Width - 200px
File Size: Less than 50 KB
Format: JPG
Image Upload Specifications for Signature
Height - 70px
Width - 200px
File Size: Less than 11 KB
Format: JPG
Besides the photograph and signature, candidates who belong to a reserved community must upload the community/category Certificate in a PDF format.

Candidates can complete the TANCET registration process in an online mode. Candidates meed not visit anywhere to submit the form offline or send the hard copy of the filled in form. Therefore, the registration fee payment is also done online. After filling all the details and uploading the documents, candidates need to click the 'Submit' button and pay the fees online. For online payment of TANCET application fee, candidates need the following details:
- Name on Card
- Card Number
- Expiry date
- CVV Number
Additionally, candidates will need the OTP received on the bank registered mobile number for payment verification.

Immediately after filling the TANCET application form, candidates print the filled-in copy of the application form. This printed copy of the TANCET application form must be kept for with the applicant for future references. Candidates need not send the printed copy to the TANCET conducting authority by mail or fax. The retained applications form will help in checking the discrepancies, if any, in the TANCET hall ticket. Additionally, admission authorities may ask for the application form copy for verification purposes.

Anna University does not release the TANCET form correction window. Therefore, candidates must fill all the details in the application form cautiously. Soon after the commencement of the TANCET registration, Anna University facilitates a window to rectify errors in the documents uploaded. Anna University frequently releases the application status PDF during the registration window is live. This PDF comprises the list of applicants whose forms are being kept on hold due to errors in the uploaded documents. Anna University releases the TANCET application form in an online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for the TANCET exam need to apply for the exam online. No other mode is available for the TANCET registration. Anna University will not entertain any requests for offline submission of the application form. After submitting the online application form, candidates must take a print out of the TANCET filled in form to retain the same for future references. However, this print-out must not be sent to the official authority via fax or post. TANCET form print out is for retainment by the applicant.
