Yes, TANCET admit card is required even after the exam day. Candidates will need the TANCET hall ticket until the admission process is over. During the TN MBA admission process, candidates have to submit their TANCET hall ticket and the TANCET scorecard for the document verification process.

Candidates will be able to request for a duplicate hall ticket by paying a processing fee after the exam day. This can help those candidates who have lost the TANCET hall ticket.

TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2025-26 exam session can only use the TANCET 2025 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2026-27 batch must appear for TANCET 2026. Irrespective of the 2025 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2025 scores for 2026 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2026-27 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2026 exam.

Hi,
If you have a score of 85 per cent in one of your exams, but your score is higher than 95 per cent of all students, then your percentile score will 96, as you have achieved better performance than 96 per cent of all students. TANCET Score and percentile score are different but they are both important. The cutoff is the minimum score that a candidate needs to secure in the exam for admission by participating institutes. TANCET cut off for top universities/colleges/institutes is expected to be between 35 and 70 for general category candidates.
