I think you will not get satisfactory answer to your question at this platform. You should check with your School Authorities for the same - I think there is some provision of study leave, but not sure for how long and will it be all with pay? To become an Assistant Professor first you have to qualify the UGC NET Exam. NTA conducts the UGC NET twice in a year in the month of June and December, for all the non-Science students. The exam is catered for more than 80 subjects. As per your qualifications you are eligible to appear in the UGC NET Psychology subject 04. UGC NET gives opportunity to the eligible candidates to become Assistant Professor and JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).
