Yes IIT's could go well for you. Other than that you can consider good private colleges for your education too. You will have equal/Better oppertunities from there too.

Dear student,
You need to complete your education atleast master degree with good grades than go for b.ed and m.ed . After that only you can apply for teaching job in reputed school.

You can start with maths hons and then go for master's with b.ed to teach in schools. If interested in professorship, take NET after m.sc.
