As of 2025, the current cut-off for the Diploma in Education (D.El.Ed) at Mekalsuta College is approximately 60-65% for general category students, whereas it could be a little less for reserved categories. Admission is on the basis of the candidate's performance in the concerned entrance test and past academic marks. The college will usually provide an overall curriculum towards making students career-ready for roles in education, and it's better to see the official website of the college or approach the administration for precise and updated information regarding the cutoff.

For M.A. + B.Ed. combined admission, having only 44% in graduation and 72% in M.A. is sometimes restricted as many colleges demand 50% marks in graduation.

Some private institutes, such as Lovely Professional University or Amity University, may consider the M.A. marks (55-60% and above) or entrance test scores, neglecting the lower UG score. Colleges in the region, such as Chaudhary Devi Lal University or IGNOU (with distance mode), offer B.Ed. with relaxed criteria (45% to 50% in PG).

Direct M.A. entry is not a problem for 72%.

Admission to KVIMIS, Coimbatore, remains uncertain even with 180 marks in UGC NET, for the Ph.D. in Management. This institution kinds of require all applicants to write UGC NET for entry into this Ph.D. program.

The cut-off for each year is dependent on the number of applicants and seats available. A score of 180 out of 300 is around 60% and will definitely be low for the threshold most times for top institutes-from 65% to about 70%-for general category students. Reserved categories might have cutoffs at pretty low levels, about 55%-60%, but borderline still.

Also, it is going to look into the academic records of the applica

The Singhania University, Rajasthan, B.Ed distance education might not be suitable for Karnataka government jobs. Degrees for teaching assignments should be validated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Singhania University's distance education B.Ed degree has been in question as far as NCTE approval goes. Karnataka state government job aspirants need NCTE- and UGC-recognized institution degrees. It is recommended that one check the recognition status of Singhania University's B.Ed course on the NCTE official website prior to applying.
