Bihar B.Ed CET 2025: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The Bihar Bachelor of Education Combined Entrance Test is a state-level teaching entrance exam. It is conducted by the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga, every year to provide admission to eligible candidates in regular BEd and Shiksha Shastri BEd programs offered at various universities across Bihar. Currently, there are 14 BEd colleges under the University of Bihar, in which admission is conducted based on the scores secured in the BEd common entrance test.

Candidates must fulfil the listed eligibility criteria:

• At least 50% marks in graduation

OR

• At least 50% marks in post-graduation in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Commerce

OR

• At least 55% marks in BE/BTech with specialisation in Science and Mathematics

Shiksha Shastri admission 

Candidates seeking admission in Shiksha Shastri BEd programmes need to fulfil the following Bihar BEd CET eligibility criteria:

• At least 50 per cent marks in Shastri or BA with Sanskrit as the main subject
• At least 50 per cent marks in Shastri BA with Sanskrit as a subject and passing Acharya (first year) and MA Sanskrit (first year)

Candidates seeking admission in Distance BEd programmes need to fulfil the following Bihar BEd CET eligibility criteria:

• Untrained service teacher

         OR

• Service teacher in elementary education

         OR

• Completed NCTE-recognised teacher training programme in face-to-face mode

In percentage determination, Acharya First Year or the MA first year marks will not be helpful. 

Bihar BEd CET 2026 admission process includes the following steps:

Start by filling out the Bihar BEd CET Application Form

If you wish to appear for the entrance exam, start by filling out the Bihar BEd CET application form. The registration form is made available on the LMNU website. Submit the fees after paying the required processing fees, INR 1000 for the General category, INR 750 for differently-abled/EBC/BC/Women/EWS and INR 500 for the SC/ST category.

Download the Admit Card

You simply can not enter the examination hall without having the Bihar BEd CET admit card. The hall ticket can be downloaded from the official link. Don't forget to take this important document with a valid ID card.

Appear for the Entrance Exam

Candidates have to appear for the Bihar BEd CET exam as per the details mentioned on the admit card.

The exam conducting body releases the results for the entrance exam within 15-20 days of the exam. Check your rank, scores, and qualifying status on the official website using the login credentials.

Get Admission via the Counselling

The final step is that candidates who have qualified for the exam appear for the counselling round. The merit list is released in multiple phases based on the seat availability, rank, and college preference.

Candidates can fill out the registration form by entering their details. Complete filling out the form and upload the valid documents in the right format. Submission is incomplete without the fee payment.

Bihar BEd CET is conducted for two hours. The exam paper is objective-based, including 120 questions. Each question carries 1 mark and has no negative marking. The candidates must carry a blue/black ball pen to fill the OMR sheet. Below, we have provided the marking scheme followed in the exam.

• Unreserved Category: 35% corresponding to 42 marks
• SC, ST, BC, EBC, WBC, EWS, and Divyaang Category Candidates: 30% corresponding to 36 marks
