Commonly asked questions
Q:   Will I get a Teacher job after clearing the TSTET exam?
A:

Clearing the TSTET exam does not guarantee recruitment as a teacher in Telangana. The TSTET exam is a qualifying exam that assesses the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Telangana. Candidates who pass the TSTET exam become eligible to apply for teaching positions in various government and private schools in Telangana.

However, being eligible for teaching positions does not guarantee recruitment. Candidates have to apply for teaching positions separately, and the recruitment process is conducted by the respective recruiting authorities. The selection process typically involves a written exam, an interview, and sometimes a demonstration of teaching skills. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in these stages and the availability of vacancies.

Therefore, clearing the TSTET exam is the first step towards becoming a teacher in Telangana, but it is not the only step. Candidates have to apply for teaching positions separately and go through the recruitment process to get recruited as a teacher.

Q:   Can I change my TSTET Exam Centre?
A:
As per the official guidelines of the Telangana State Teacher Recruitment Board (TSTRB), candidates are not allowed to change their TSTET exam center once it has been allotted. The exam center is allotted based on the preferences selected by the candidates during the application process and cannot be changed under any circumstances. In case of any unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural calamity or any other emergency, the authorities may consider requests for a change of exam center. However, such requests are rare and are subject to the discretion of the authorities. It is important to note that candidates who fail to appear for the exam at the allotted exam center will not be allowed to appear for the exam at any other center, and their candidature will be cancelled.
Q:   What's next after the declaration of the TS TET result?
A:

After the declaration of the TSTET (Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test) result, candidates who have qualified in the exam can use their TSTET certificate to apply for teaching jobs in schools in Telangana.

Candidates can apply for teaching positions in various government schools, aided schools, and private schools in Telangana, depending on their eligibility and preference. The TSTET certificate serves as proof of the candidates eligibility to teach in schools in Telangana and is required during the recruitment process.

Candidates who have qualified in the TSTET exam can also choose to improve their scores by appearing for the exam again in the future. The TSTET exam is conducted twice a year, and candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they want to try and improve their scores.

Q:   Is TS TET conducted online or offline?
A:

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana conducts the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET) exam online in the computer-based test (CBT) mode.
