Admission is on the basis of the candidate's performance in the concerned entrance test and past academic marks. For M.A. + B.Ed. combined admission, having only 44% in graduation and 72% in M.A. is sometimes restricted as many colleges demand 50% marks in graduation.
Some private institutes, such as Lovely Professional University or Amity University, may consider the M.A. marks (55-60% and above) or entrance test scores, neglecting the lower UG score. Colleges in the region, such as Chaudhary Devi Lal University or IGNOU (with distance mode), offer B.Ed. with relaxed criteria (45% to 50% in PG).
Direct M.A. entry is not a problem for 72%.
