Regarding UGC NET geography I would say do not run after the books but run after the syllabus, Go for the books which cover the complete syllabus. One more thing UGC NET requires selective study for the exam, you need to be very strict about what to study or what not as you are not supposed to do Ph.D. on topics but to clear the exam. Do not forget to prepare for UGC NET Paper 1, it is scoring and requires one-month dedication only. Must appear for the mock test papers. Work on speed and accuracy and solve previous year test papers as well to prepare the concepts well.

Life Science (Biotechnology) itself is a lengthy subject, so the candidate must start the preparations early. Do refer to the standard books for the preparations. Keep yourself updated with the latest notification. I have an updated CSIR NET Syllabus. Solve previous years questions papers. You can also join the online test series. Don't ignore paper 1. Refer quality Study materials only for both paper 1 and CSIR NET Physical Science. Put more focus on the important topics. Clear your doubts on time. Work more on basic concepts to solve all type questions easily. Don't use too many books or study material. It can confuse you. Assign times for topics as per their importance. Go for the easy and scoring topics first so that you may cover the syllabus faster.

Toppers say that they preferred self-study over coaching. Just have good grasp of concepts in college itself during B.Sc. Prioritize & refine the concepts as per exam syllabus, marking weightage and pattern. Do not compromise over the quality of material. Go for the standard books only as per the subject. Must solve IIT JAM Previous Year Question Paper to know about how questions are made difficult in the exam. Not solve a variety of questions on topics. Revise things on daily basis. Stay updated with the latest changes introduced in the exam. Do appear for the mock test papers. Thanks.
