As per my knowledge, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in India if you're comparing between Thapar Institute and BITS Pilani. Amazing faculty, infrastructure, campus life, comfortable accommodation, food, and placement facilities make TIET worth it. Last year, almost 80 - 85% of students got placed with good packages in big companies like KPMG, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Since the faculty there have a strong corporate network, Internships provided to the students are quite good. It has a dedicated training and placement cell that makes sure that every student gets an internship.

Hi, Like most of the engineering colleges, there are two criteria for getting admission in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. One is on the basis of your JEE score and the other one is on the basis of your 12th class percentage (PCM or PCB). The division of seats for the above two is 70% and 30% respectively. You can choose as per your suiting. The admissions for new B.Tech batch is open now. You can apply online through their website: Admissions 2020 open for B.Tech, M.Tech programme
