Private colleges use money to get higher rankings. For glance, SRM is placed 2nd or 3rd in such ranking. But, do you think placement and education in SRM is better than IITs, which are placed lower than SRM? I am not saying that Thapar University is a bad choice, but DTU is a state government College of Delhi. But, the quality of DTU is gradually decreasing because of increase in intake of students every year. Other reasons considered are average quality of faculty, No renovation of labs, No change in infrastructure, Hiked in yearly fees (about 1.5lacs per year worth increase of 10% in subsequent year), etc.

As per my knowledge, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Amazing faculty, infrastructure, campus life, comfortable accommodation, food, and placement facilities make TIET worth it. For Computer Science Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the bests in India. It has been ranked 29th under NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) by the Government of India rankings. Last year, almost 80 - 85% of students got placed with good packages in big companies like KPMG, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Since the faculty there have a strong corporate netw

Hi,
Like most of the engineering colleges, there are two criteria for getting admission in Thapar Institute, Patiala. One is on the basis of your JEE score and the other one is on the basis of your 12th class percentage (PCM or PCB). The division of seats for the above two is 70% and 30% respectively. You can choose as per your suiting. For more details regarding admission, you can visit their website http://www.thapar.edu/
Also, the admissions for the new batch are open now. To apply: https://admissions.thapar.edu/online-application-form.php?_ga=2.25340221.1001895155.158.

Your expected JEE Main AIR is about 137905. The last year JEE Main closing percentile in TIET for Punjab general category for few engineering branches are given below for an idea.
1. CSE : 96
2. Electrical : 73.65

4. Mech : 76.41
5. Mech(Prod) : 70.61
