Since in Tamilnadu for the admission in B.E. /B.Tech admissions TNEA is held for all colleges.

And in government colleges it is manadatory to appear in TNEA and then a merit will be prepared and according to merit you will get admission.

But since MEC - Muthiammal Engineering College is a private college. Hence it offers direct admission also which is based on your 12th marks.

You can visit MEC official website for more information.

The TNEA counseling is conducted by the Anna University. It is conducted for all colleges in Tamil Nadu, not only for MEC - Muthiammal Engineering College. Generally, results are announced 2-3 months after the process has been started. For example, the process was started on 6th May 2024, and the results were announced on 13th August 2024. In 2025, the process was started on 7th May and the results are expected to be released by the 1st week of July.

The teaching staff at Cape Institute of Technology is mostly considered supportive and experienced. Most of the professors are properly qualified, many having higher qualifications and professional work experience. The professors are approachable and can be found readily available to provide help outside regular class hours. But, similar to most universities, the teaching quality can also be inconsistent in some departments.

Getting a seat in Anand Institute of Higher Technology (AIHT) in Chennai is quite competitive, primarily due to the fact that it is a private college affiliated with Anna University. The admission procedure is mostly merit-based, depending on academic record and entrance exam scores; however, the competition is not as high as that in premier government engineering colleges.

The TNEA cutoff for GRT varies annually and by course and category. Based on 2024 OC closing ranks, expect ranges like around 99000 for CSE and higher for other branches. Keep an eye on the official TNEA website for the 2025 cutoffs once released.
