The process of TNEA registration mostly starts in May every year and the applications runs for about a month. The merit list is displayed in June while counseling is done in July and August. Because TNEA relies on Class 12 scores, there is no examination involved in the admission process. Certain days may change every year so applicants should refer to the official TNEA web page frequently in order to have the right information on when to submit their applications and participate in admission.

TNEA result date for PSN College of Engineering and Technology will be provided as per the official schedule followed by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE). The TNEA merit list and results normally surface after about three weeks from the close of the online application. Dates set for June or July are usual. The actual date of result is decided through the counseling process held by TNEA, which results in rank lists. Admission to St. Michael College of Engineering and Technology through TNEA differs as there are different cutoffs for different courses and varying years. While the recent years' cut-off for B.E. /B.Tech courses such as Computer Science and Engineering was high, comparison cuts were relatively low for Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering courses.

The cutoff marks for TNEA are from 7,157 up to 26,444 which depends on the category and course¹. For example, the overall TNEA cutoff is between 7,157 and 26,444 for the Open Category. However, rounded off, Round 1 has a cutoff of 10,500; Round 2 is 8,9180; and, finally, Round 3 is 18,042. Other than this, the cutoff marks for TANCET are 6,085. Hii, The TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) 2024 rank list was released on 10th July 2024, with subsequent counselling rounds held in August and early September. The third and final seat allotment results were announced on 4th September 2024. Admissions to Solamalai College of Engineering depend on these counselling rounds conducted by TNEA. The Exam result of TNEA for Solamalai College of Engineering in between July and August.
