It is the best private option in Punjab.
Placements: B.E CSE Chitkara University 90% placements are placed, which is very good. The highest package is 44 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Recruiters are from TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, JP Morgan, and Microsoft. 70% students got internships. Roles offered are Software Development Engineer, Web Developer, and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: College has modern classes with smart boards, high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped CS labs and a digital library. Hostels are clean with good security, decent rooms and Wi-Fi. Mess food is average, or you can say less than average. Medical aid is also average, but in the sports area, it is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified, and they also have a deep knowledge of their subject. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it also prepares the student to face the industry ready. If a person studies well, and along with the syllabus, it is not difficult to pass the semester exam. 40% is the pass percentage criterion.
Other: Fests are great here.

It is the best place to explore our potential, and it provides many opportunities.
Placements: About 80 to 90% of students get placed. The highest package offered is 50 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Myntra, Nutanix's, RabbitMQ, and Salesforce. Right now, about 60 percent of students get internships. Top roles offered are backed developer, web development engineer, Python and Java intern, and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Karya provides the best facilities and infrastructure. Every lab, classroom, and library contains Wi-Fi. Hostels are so clean and well-maintained. Sometimes, the food quality is bad. Many times, they provide us with tasty food. Sports area is also beautiful.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful. Some teachers are qualified from different IITs and NITs. They are knowledgeable. Their teaching is awesome. The course curriculum is relevant because teachers teach real-time things that are happening in the market. Semester exams are of a decent level. The pass percentage is approximately 30 to 35%.

Average college, but too expensive. You can find better colleges charging less with same facilities.
Placements: I am still pursuing the course. The highest package may be 50 LPA, depending on skills. The lowest is 3 LPA and the average is I guess 5 LPA-6 LPA. Recruiting companies are Deloitte, Infosys, STGI, and Cisco. Not so many students can pursue off-campus or on-campus internships. Roles offered are data analyst, HR, debugger, and coder.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have a centralized AC. Infrastructure is good. Mess quality is average not so good. Classrooms are better than other colleges but the fees are too high. Sports games are good and co-curricular activities are conducted. It's not so nice but good. NCC is good and NSS is also there. There are many clubs.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge but students need to study on their own. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are difficult and the pass percentage is more than 50 percent for coding subjects which is high. Teachers don't make you study that much what comes in exams is just what you're paying to get a degree in an overcrowded college.
Other: I had no option except this course. Many things need to improve. Events are good and there are many extracurricular activities conducted.

The college is very good for this fees price.
Placements: So the placements in Chitkara are pretty decent compared to other private universities here, as 85-90% students got placed with a decent package. So the highest package here is 1.11cr, and the average package is 7 LPA to 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies here are like Amazon, Samsung, and all.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. There are students from a lot of states, and they all like that the college hostel is also well-maintained. There is a 24/7 Wi-Fi facility in all the classrooms, and the library is fully air-conditioned. The quality of the mess food is not so good, not so bad.
Faculty: In Chitkara, teachers are good, friendly, and well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students learn new technology. The semester exams are a little bit difficult. The pass percentage for the non-coding subject is 40%, and for the coding subject it is 50%.

80% of the fun of your college life is gone: rude faculty, small, and extremely overcrowded campus.
Placements: They provide many average placements for the fees we are paying. We will have to work for years to even compensate for the fee. The placements are average. The fees is so high that it does not meet the standards at all. There are just so many students in the college that it's almost impossible to land a good job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is alright, but the college is very small and very overcrowded, so you cannot enjoy it at all. During break hours, you won't even find a seat to sit and eat your food; the college is just that crowded. Instead of making more campus space, the university keeps making new hostels for more admissions.
Faculty: The worst possible dean changes exam criteria at the last minute, totally not recommended. You will prepare for an exam, and the dean will change the criteria at the last minute or even after the exams, so students fail. We can get out-of-syllabus questions, and the dean never listens.
Other: College is alright for campus activities like clubs; the rest of everything is very bad.

Good environment for students.
Placements: Most of the students get placed in the 3rd year itself, and almost 99% placements are made by the end of the 4th year. At least that's what we have seen in our senior batches. I have heard recently that OG, LG, Neilson, JustPay and all have been recruiting. The highest package that I have heard of in my college life was about 40 LPA, and the lowest is 3-4 LPA. I have heard my seniors go to tech and non-tech companies. A wide range of companies come to our college, including all types like gaming, marketing, software engineering, full-stack related, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is just okay-ish, sometimes its speed is too good and sometimes too slow. Classrooms are centrally AC, so that helps a lot in the summer. I don't live in a hostel. The library is good, with a wide range of books. Good area for sports (pickleball, basketball, etc. )
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. I don't think the courses are much of industry-ready ones, but for basics, they are good. They are difficult for students who take them lightly and don't study, but for students who are up to date, they pass (80-85% pass ).
Other: Our college did great events like the FUFU, and DJs and all. They provide buses for every event, which gives security to the parents. Overall, it's a nice college with a uniform. It feels a bit like school, but it provides us with a safe environment. I have heard of scholarships, but I don't know the details. There are various clubs that are on a good level related to sports, dance and other skills.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA Lateral Entry) - Batch of 2026

4.0Placements5.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Balanced college life with great opportunities to invest in. A better future-ready college.
Placements: My Passing batch is 2024-2026. Well, if there are 200 students in our MCA course, then around 70 (I’m saying this as a reference) student is only placed as overall placement opportunities are there, and if you are studying well, you will obviously secure placement from campus, as I have also secured one. But the most disturbing thing is that the student of MCA sits with Students of CSE (whose strength is around 4000-5000), so this is quite unfair. Most companies prefer CSE, and it is slightly difficult to secure due to the preference for CSE students.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is top-notch, but in the small departments like MCA, there is slightly improvement needed. Classes are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, and labs are also well-equipped. I'm not hostler but a little bit I know, hostels are quite good. The medical facilities are very good as the college itself has a hospital branch inside it and has an ambulance of its own, and a similar hospital opposite to the college gate, i.e., Neelam hospital, is also built, and their branch is inside the campus, and the students are well taken care of by them.
Faculty: There are some teachers who are very good, but there are some who are considered so-called old teachers, are the ones who sometimes don't help students. They only help according to their mood wing, but there are also some teachers who are only available for students, so good people are obviously present in college. Semester exams are easy to pass, but if you didn't open the study material to study, then obviously it would be difficult for you to pass.
Other: I selected this course as I have a strong interest in the coding field. The best thing about my course is that I'm able to built commerce website like Shiksha.com. Overall, the course is good, and it has now improved with the addition of MCA with AI, so it is great that our college keeps on updating in real-time as the environment changes.

Honest reviews by a second year CSE student.
Placements: As the placement season is going on, various companies are coming for the 3rd year students. My seniors, as 4th-year students, were almost placed. Companies like FICO, Juspay, Nielsen, ServiceNow, and so on came. By the end of the 7th sem, almost all students were placed. About the package, there is an employability exam, and on the basis of the score, you are allowed to sit in companies. The package also decreases with the score in the employability exam, as you are not allowed to sit in the top companies. Roles offered basically depend on one's skills.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were tidy, had air conditioning, and proper lighting. The library is huge; students can go there at any time. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. In the hostel, 1, 2, 3, and 4-seater rooms with attached or common bathrooms, as per choice, are available. A menu is given and changes every month. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner are provided. Now the campus is 24/7 open, so some food outlets are also open. A proper dispensary and Neelam Hospital are opposite the university. Various games like cricket, volleyball, basketball, etc., are available. There are various clubs and societies for students.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, they provide all types of study material, PPTs, and MCQs, as exams are MCQ-based. It is conducted on their own platform, so if you just go through the study material, it's easy to crack the exam even by studying just for 2 days. The passing criteria in theory subjects is 40% overall and 50% in coding subjects, both internal and end term.
Other: I want to explore more in coding, so I opted for this course. Basically, college life is for 2 years only, as in the third year placements start, and in fourth year, you will already be in your internships. The university conducts various events and fests; even for hostelers, there were canopies and DJ nights so that they can also enjoy their hostel life.
