Perfect campus for computer science engineering students
Placements: I belong to the CSE batch of 2024. In our course, around 90% of students were successfully placed. The highest package offered was 45 LPA, the lowest was 3.6 LPA, and the average package hovered around 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Microsoft, Amazon, and ZS Associates. Nearly 70% of students secured internships, primarily in firms like Deloitte, Wipro, and Microsoft.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for our Computer Science Engineering course is quite robust. We have well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet, updated systems, and licensed software. Classrooms are modern with smart boards and projectors, and the department has access to a central library with physical and digital resources.
Faculty: Faculty in the Computer Science Engineering department is generally helpful, well-qualified, and possess good industry and academic knowledge. Most teachers are approachable and support students both academically and in project work. The teaching quality is decent.

Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chitkara University, Chandigarh.
Placements: 80% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are JSW, Tata, and JLPL Group. About 70% of our students got internships in companies like JSW, Tata, Aditya Birla Group, ACC Cement, etc. A project management role is offered here.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good. My university is around 14 square kilometers area large with a lot of huge institutional buildings and facilities like AC rooms, laboratory, free Wi-Fi, etc. I am a day scholar so I can't tell students about the hostel facilities but I have visited the hostel. The quality of rooms is good. There are great medical services. Good opportunities are provided in the field of sports. The canteen services are also great.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, and most of them are PhD holders. Their teaching skills are good. The course curriculum is fully relevant and it prepares us for industrial exposure. Semester exams' difficulty level is moderate. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because of my own interest in civil engineering. I think laboratory work and field work should be more to prepare us better to meet industrial expectations. There are a lot of events and extracurricular activities on campus. There are a lot of opportunities for scholarships.

Students who are well focused and hardworking, can gain a good package from campus.
Placements: Talking about the percentage of students placed, then it's a very small amount. Around 40% of students are there who are getting placement. Rest are studying and preparing. The highest package I heard was 19 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average is like 5 to 6 LPA. Schneider, TechMahindra, and Microsoft are some of the major companies. For internships, around 40 to 50% of students got selected. Roles offered are full-stack developer, software developer, and data analyst. Now a days, ML engineers are also in demand. But there's not any hiring for it right now.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good as it is a private university. Fee is also a bit high There are well-maintained labs, high-speed internet on the whole campus, and separate libraries for each department. Talking about hostels and mess, then it's a problem for some of the students. 70% are happy, but 30% say it's not good. The food is fixed for the whole week. And also, they don't get the good taste of it. Hostel rooms are very small, and a real problem occurs in summers when coolers don't work properly.
Faculty: Curriculum is well planned but not well executed. There are a handful of teachers who are willing to support and work hard for their students. The majority of them just pass the time, do the formalities, and run. Also, teaching is an art that many of our faculty members should need to learn. Semester exams are not very difficult. Coding exams might give some difficulties. A student needs to earn 40% per subject to pass it for a semester. Courses don't make students well prepared for industries, but their self-education and hard work do.
Other: I have chosen this course due to the increasing demand of the software and AI/ML industries. Also, companies offer a good package if the student is capable of these skills, like AI engineer, web developer, data analyst, and so on. The college should offer more teacher talks and industry visits to students. They should also hire good teachers who actually have the talent to teach. Talking about events and functions, Chitkara offers a number of events for students to enjoy, so that's good.

Good environment and nice college.
Placements: Almost 92% of students get placed. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, and Accenture. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top roles are Project Manager and Web Developer. Around 75% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good around the campus. The campus is spread over 50 acres. The computer labs have neatly organized classrooms, and the library has a good number of books. Wi-Fi facility is available. The campus provides hostel facilities. The canteen is available. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are friendly. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They help us a lot in understanding concepts. They have good experience and clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to the subject. The semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 75%.

Absolutely satisfied because of great placements in 2024 and good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed in my course, which is Computer Science Engineering. The highest package is around 42 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, and Accenture visit the campus. Almost all students got to do internships in Infosys, TCS, and similar companies. Most of the roles offered are technical and related to product management.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is worth it, and the facilities and security are amazing, with Wi-Fi and ventilation available all over the campus, along with a canteen. Mess food is average. Medical and sports facilities are lit, with ambulance facilities available at night for those in need.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They follow the given timetable and complete the entire course effectively. The course curriculum is a bit lengthy, but it prepares students well for industry purposes, and self-study is important. Our semester exams are conducted online in two parts: MCQ-based and code-based. The coding part is difficult to run, but the MCQs are easy. The pass percentage is 70–80 percent, though it varies according to the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become an engineer, and the best thing about it is that it prepares students for placements, nothing needs improvement, and everything is going well in the above-listed items.

Review of engineering colleges near Chandigarh.
Placements: Almost everyone gets placed in the last year if they do not have any backlogs, as Chitkara University is famous for its mass placements. The highest package goes up to 25 LPA, whereas the average package is 3-4 LPA. Almost everyone is supposed to get an internship in the 6th semester. Some get internships in small industries, while others get them in big companies like iOS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is not very good as it is very small. The buildings are not so big. Hostellers are asked to attend classes in the evening, between 4:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Classes have proper Wi-Fi connections, and the library has all academic-related books but not other books. There are clubs for co-curricular activities, and all sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Facilities are qualified enough. Teachers who teach are either Ph.D. holders or are pursuing their Ph.D. They all are very helpful and knowledgeable, but the backup teachers are not as impressive. The curriculum is up-to-date and according to industry needs. Exams are held three times a semester, along with the end-term exam. Exams are either moderate or hard.
Other: I chose CSE after watching its need in current industrial life. My course is very useful and very much needed in today's world. I wish to start an internship in the second year of my course this is one thing I would like to improve. A lot of fests happen every year, along with extracurricular activities and hackathons. But, the college does not provide any scholarships, even on a merit basis.
