ETS has relaunched the TOEFL iBT Test on Paper in select countries. The TOEFL iBT Test on Paper is going to test the candidate's same 4 skills but will be delivered on paper and given in two testing sessions. The TOEFL Reading, Listening, and Writing sections would be taken on paper at a test centre. The TOEFL Speaking section will have to be taken at home on the computer and monitored online by a human proctor, within three days after the paper sections. The TOEFL exam on paper is available in select countries including India. Since the Speaking section is being administered at home, test takers would be required to have the necessary environment and equipment requirements before registering for the ETS TOEFL test. 

Once available in areas that had poor or limited access to the Internet, the TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) evaluates the Listening, Reading, and Writing skills of the candidates. The TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) has only three sections, Listening, Reading, and Writing and does not have a speaking section due to the unavailability of equipment. However, the TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) is no longer continued. Candidates should not confuse the TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) with the TOEFL Test on Paper. The TOEFL Paper Delivered test is the offline version of the TOEFL iBT Test. TOEFL PBT (Paper-based) Test is no longer offered. However, TOEFL PBT scores will remain valid for two years after your test date

Currently, ETS - the conducting body of the TOEFL exam offers the ETS TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) - which is the most widely opted-for exam and is conducted at a TOEFL test centre,  TOEFL iBT Home Edition - is the same TOEFL iBT test which the candidates would take at a test centre, now taken from the privacy of your own home and monitored online by a human proctor and ETS TOEFL Test on Paper - is the same TOEFL iBT test but is taken in two sessions, i.e. Reading, Listening, and Writing sections are conducted at a TOEFL test centre and the Speaking section is conducted at home on your computer within three days after the paper sections. Your Speaking session will be monitored online by a human proctor. Candidates should note that TOEFL Test on Paper has been discontinued starting January 2024. TOEFL PBT (Paper-delivered) Test is no longer offered. However, TOEFL PBT scores will remain valid for two years after your test date

Long Island University admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. However, overseas applicants can secure an admission in LIU without IELTS/TOEFL score if they meet at least one of the criteria listed below:

• A high school Diploma from a four-year U.S. high school, without ESL support;
• IGSCE, GCSE, or GCE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education, General Certificate of Secondary Education, or General Certificate of Education);
• A college level English composition course from an accredited institution in the US with a C or better;
• IB students may submit ENGLISH A1/A2 or B1/B2 results with a score of 4 or better;
• Successfully completion of the LIU English Language Institute;
• O-Level or A-Level English with grade of E or higher; and
• AP English exam with a score of 4 or better.

International students have to meet the Waseda University requirements for admission in undergraduate and graduate program. University of the Fraser Valley's admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. However, Indian students can study in UFV is they hold 65% or greater in English in Grade XII as it fulfills the university's English language requirements.

Despite this, if a candidate does not meet UFV's, they may be eligible for the university's English Language Studies (ELS) foundational English and academic upgrading program. Once a candidate successfully completes the ELS program, they will be elligible for securing an admission in the University of the Fraser Valley.

However, in order to get access to UFV's English Language Studies (ELS), students must have the minimum English language exam score requirements listed below:

• IELTS: 6.5 & Above (with a minimum band score of 6.0); OR

Drexel University admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. However, international students can get enrolled in Drexel University without English proficiency exam scores if they meet one of the criteria listed below:

• Have citizenship from a recognised English-speaking country; OR
• Have earned a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from a recognised English-speaking country; OR
• Have worked in the United States for 5 or more years; OR
• Completed full bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree that was delivered entirely in English.

If the students do not fulfill any of the lisitings above, they need to submit an official English language exam score.
