American Universities don't see only SAT and TOEFL scores. They are interested in whole personality. They see your academic record, extracurricular activities, essay SAT and TOEFL score. You have to do your best in all in these factor.

You can get the previous year's SAT test papers from the College Board website.

No, it is not compulsory to take TOEFL or IELTS. They only ask you to submit the score of one of these exam. If you don't want to take, then it's okay.

You can take the official guide for SAT and TOEFL. Also, you can do official SAT practice in Khan Academy. You can do TOEFL preparation on edx app.

If you don't want to take SAT and TOEFL, then you have to do your best in your board exam. In UK and Germany, many universities don't need SAT exam for Indian student. But, they strongly recommend to take IELTS. If you don't want to take IELTS as well, then you have to be very good in English as well. Taking such exam will increase your chances to get admission in famous universities. They will show your strength in particular subject. At last choice is yours.

For IELTS, you can take official guide from Cambridge. For TOEFL, you can take official guide from ETS.

There are some training institute in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata of British council for IELTS. They also offer online course for it.

Both exams can be considered equally easy or difficult, but what can be considered while choosing between IELTS or TOEFL is if you are planning on doing your Masters in UK or around Europe IELTS is a better option as it is more preferred exam in Europe as in the case of TOEFL.
