Hello, To become eligible for the UGC NET Exam, its essential to do post-graduation in any field with the percentage of 55 % marks (50% for Reserved category candidates). If you want to make career in the lectureship programme the UGC NET Exam is the best option. The percentage marks you scored in the post-graduation is valid if you apply for the improvement exam they generally consider the Final Score in Post-graduation. Yes, of course, you can apply in UGC NET for M.Sc. Biotechnology. All graduates in Science are eligible for UGC NET exam.

UGC NET Exam is conducted two times a year in the month of June and December usually. The UGC NET Exam mainly is conducted in the two phases UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UGC NET Paper 1 is conducted in the General Aptitude test whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 is conducted in the Subject you have completed the Masters programme. Hello Mala, As you have done Masters in Commerce and Masters in Labour Studies, you can opt for UGC NET Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management or UGC NET Commerce. But make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in post graduation. If you are belong to OBC/SC/ST/PwD category then you will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks. If you want to apply for NET JRF then your age must not be more than 30 years.

For an assistant professor, you must have master degree course and with 1 division that is of 60% ( minimum). But every college/ university have their own criteria so please visit there website and career page.

No, you can't apply for CSIR NET Physics if you have Master's Degree in Mathematics. As per the guidelines of CSIR NET Exam you can apply for the exam only in the subject which you have in your post-graduation. To appear in the exam you should have Masters' degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (for General & OBC category) or 50% minimum (SC, ST & PwD category). Hello Mamta,
UGC NET is not conducted in rural development, but you can apply for the NET exam in similar subject I. e. Sociology. But you must have Master's degree to apply for the exam with minimum 55% aggregate marks. As per the latest notifications the NET Dec 2018 application process has been started from the 1st September 2018. If you fulfill all the requirements of the exam then hurry up and fill the form.
