Hello Anitha, No, you can't. According to UGC NET guidelines, the basic requirement for the exam is candidates have to be post graduated or in the qualifying year of Masters. The applicants should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters to apply for the exam. If you want to apply for JRF NET exam then your age must not be more than 30 years. Hello Harpreet, Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET exam but make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in your Masters if you are from General category or if you are from OBC/SC/ST/PwD category then you will get the 5% relaxation in aggregate marks. NTA has started the online application process of UGC NET December 2018 from 1st September 2018 and the last date will be 30th September 2018. NTA has announced the UGC NET Dec 2018 date schedule. As per the dates, the UGC NET 2018 Application Form has been started from the 1st September and the last date will be 30th September 2018. The exam will be conducted from 9th December to 23rd December 2018 in two shifts per day on Saturday and Sunday. Here are the steps which candidates have to follow to apply for the exam. Step 1 Aspirants have to visit the official website. Step 2 Candidates must sign up or log in to the website. Hi Nazia, Basically UGC NET Exam consists of two rounds of objective type papers. Each paper has its different standard and difficulty level which increases from first to second round.
1. Paper-IThis round is General Aptitude Test which consists of sections like Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc. There will be 50 questions each of two marks. As per the UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018 Exam, the candidates must attempt all the 50 questions. Time Limit for Paper-I is 1 Hours
UGC NET Commerce Syllabus for Paper 1 in which list of Important Topics are :
1. Environmental Science
2. Education
3. Compute

Engineering degree holders with 60% marks are eligible for NET. If you are M.Tech holder, then you need 55% marks in your post-graduation to become eligible for these exams. You will be eligible for engineering sciences subject in CSIR NET.
