Yes a salary of £3,000 per month is good to live in the UK. However - in London you might want to share an accommodation to split the expenses and save on this segment. Rest - your expenses will depend on how good you plan and budget around the basic and unnecessary expenses.

The sandwich course usually incorporates 9-12 months of placement/internship in the original course. This increases the duration of any given regular course by almost an year. Thus, 3 year's sandwich courses in UK become 4 year courses and the 1 year master's or MBA courses become 2 year courses.

In 2026, the latest changes on the UK student visa include:
- The minimum cost you need to show in your bank account for the cost of living in the UK has increased to £1,529/month in London and £1,171 elsewhere.
- The launch of eVisa facility
- Undergraduate students will not be able to bring their dependents in the UK. Only students coming for postgraduate research and above courses are allowed to do so.
