The University of California, Los Angeles  (UCLA) accepts Indian students as well, However, the university hasn’t given the exact number of the total Indian students pursuing their studies at UCLA, but there is an Indian Students Union at UCLA, further highlighting the university’s inclusivity and cultural diversity. However, students from other nationalities are warmly welcomed within the tapestry of UCLA’s international student community.

The University of California Los Angeles acceptance rate is 9%, which makes it highly competitive to secure admission. This figure states that out of every 100 students, only 9 students secured admission at UCLA. If we look at the rankings, then University of Southern California has been ranked #25 by US News, whereas, UCLA has been placed a bit higher at #20 in its national universities category. Both the universities are prestigious and students with outstanding profiles prefer both the institutions. Although USC ranked a bit lower but getting into USC is more difficult than getting into UCLA. USC has an acceptance rate of around 8 percent whereas, UCLA acceptance rate is of around 11 percent.

When it comes to selectivity, both of the universities UCLA and USC rank fairly equally. UCLA has an acceptance rate of around 11%, whereas, USC has an acceptance rate of 12.5%. However, when it comes to ranking, then UCLA ranks better than USC. In the QS World University Rankings 2024, UCLA ranks at #29, whereas, USC ranks at #116. In Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, UCLA ranks at #21 and USC ranks at #65.

The MBA programme at UCLA is typically through a blend of fellowships and loans. The students are automatically evaluated for both merit and donor fellowships as a part of admission process.

Hi Saurabh,
Yes, it is good choice to go us to pursue engineering degree. Yes, you can do it even after BCA, but your marks in intermediate will be considered only for admission purposes. You must score good in intermediate and pass in all the subjects. Best of luck.

This is not the problem that you want to change your stream. However, the question is that if you are eligible for University of California or not?
