As per a few unofficial sources, UCLA ranks better in areas like English, Biology and Psychology. But, for the STEM disciplines, especially Engineering and Computer Science, UC San Diego has a great reputation. Also, note that the research opportunities are in abundance at both universities. Furthermore, the social environment at both universities reflects their locations. UC San Diego's sports, vibrant on-campus organizations, and proximity to the beach offer a lot of opportunities for outdoor activities. On the other hand, UCLA's student life tends to be more event-driven because of its LA location and dynamic sports teams. Consideri

With a 9% acceptance rate, UCLA is quite difficult to get into. However, students have still a high chance if they perform excellently in academics and take part in some extra activities or volunteer work. The university follows a holistic approach where it gives priority to certain academic and non-academic factors. If the students start working on the factors given below, their probability of selection may increase:

The acceptance rate of UCLA is 9%, whereas the UC Berkeley acceptance rate is 12%. However, there is a very slight difference in the acceptance percentage, the University of California Los Angeles follows more stringent selection criteria for admission as compared to UC Berkeley. Both universities prioritize factors such as the rigor of secondary high school records, academic GPA, application essays, extracurricular activities, and more. UCLA also provides more career and research opportunities than UC Berkeley which makes it tough to enter.
