The UCLA acceptance rate is 9% whereas the acceptance rate of Cal State LA is 92%. There is a huge difference in the selection criteria of both universities. The low acceptance rate of UCLA shows that the university is very tough to get into and follows a stringent approach during admission. The students have the option to choose between on-campus and off-campus accommodation. Although most of the UCLA Anderson students live off-campus in areas such as Brentwood, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles,
Westwood and the South Bay area (which includes a number of different communities). Brentwood, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, and Westwood are fairly close to campus, as they save on rent and utilities that way.

UCLA Anderson Placement report of 2023 has been released, according to which out of 365 UCLA MBA Graduates, 312 sought placements within three months of completion of the MBA programme which makes it a whopping percentage of 85.5%. The percentage of students who were able to receive the offer letter after their course was 87%.

Like most US-based B-Schools, UCLA Anderson values the work experience of an applicant and gives them priority. In fact, the MBA Class of 2026 has an average work experience of 5.4 years before enrolling to the full-time MBA at UCLA Anderson.
