University of Lausanne

Lausanne Master's scholarships is for students who have graduated from a foreign university. They must have outstanding results in their previous studies. The scholarship amount is CHF 1,600 per month. Only a few courses are applicable for this scholarship-

• Master from the School of Medicine
• MSc in Health Sciences
• MSc in Human Taphonomy
• Master in Sciences and Practices of Education and more

C1 English language proficiency is required Uni of Lausanne Master's courses. To take admission to the Master's degree of the Uni of Lausanne, Indian students are required to have a Bachelor's degree in a closely related field. For the Spring semester of Master's courses, the application deadline is Sep 30, 2026.

Lausanne University does not have its own housing. But students can find their own housing or apartments. UNIL works with the FMEL, that hosts 2,500+ students at many sites (mainly in the greater Lausanne area). Students can check out the apartments listed out by other private agencies. 

UNIL is located on the shores of Lake Geneva. Also, the campus has a library that contains over 2 million documents. There are student association at the UNIL campus regarding Arts and Culture, Media, Social Causes, etc. A range of sporting activities are also offered by UNIL. 

The University of Lausanne ranks at #5 position in the Best Universities in Switzerland for 2026, as per Times Higher Education universities. It is home to 17,000+ students. 20% of the student body at UNIL come from abroad. Also, UNIL is famous for its research. It has 190+ research units. 

The University of Lausanne acceptance rate is around 31%. This means that this university is very selective at the time of the admission process. Indian students must have a passed Secondary school for admission to UG courses. For admission to Master's courses of UNIL, an UG degree is required.
