Indeed, entrance tests are administered by the University of Madras to students wishing to enrol in specific undergraduate courses and doctoral programs. While the university does require an entrance exam for some postgraduate programs like M.Sc., M.A., M.Tech., and other specialised courses, many undergraduate courses, like B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com., are normally offered based on merit (academic credentials and marks gained in prior education).

The institution schedules an admission exam and establishes particular eligibility requirements for these programs in order to evaluate applicants' ability and competence in the relevant subjects

However, MBA placements are fairly decent across Madras University's distance education for students, but not as strong as full-time MBA programs. The university also has provision for connecting distance students with companies through job fairs and other placement assistance. Most placement, however, for distance MBA students would be dependent on the individual's efforts, prior work experience, and networking. Even though distance MBA graduates often get jobs in marketing, finance, and HR, they are not as highly placed in high-paying jobs as regular MBA placements. It is ideal for working professionals who want to advance themselves

Admission to the MA Human Rights programme at Madras University is generally on merit in the qualifying exam. That is, there is no entrance exam for this course. Instead, the candidates are selected based on their undergraduate degree academic performance. The university examines the previous academic records of the applicants and selects the candidates based on eligibility criteria. This will enable those students who have an academic background and a deep interest in human rights to pursue this program. For more information, you can visit the  page.
