The University of Madras offers a more traditional and academically diverse MBA curriculum with a strong emphasis on dual specialisation. In comparison, SRM University often focuses on a highly participative and practical learning model with many industry-chiselled modules. Both provide good education, but Madras University follows a state-standardised academic framework.

University of Madras uses a merit-based ranking system for Foreign Nationals applying for the MBA. Instead of an entrance test scores, their admission is determined by their last degree marks. University of Madras might follow a different admission timeline for NRIs applying to the MBA. Since their selection is based on degree marks, their application window is usually specified in a separate notification. These candidates should prepare their academic transcripts well in advance. Checking the international admissions cell's updates is the best way to stay informed.
