UM-Flint is a campus where mostly commuter campuses with students living with their families or on their own in the surrounding areas. Whereas the UM-Ann Arbor is a residential educational community in which nearly 100 percent of first-year students live in campus housing.

Some of the tips for students starting their first-semester at the UM Flint are:

  • Students who applied for  University of Michigan must be humble and should interact with as many people as possible. Mainly beacause, the more people you talk to the better knowledge you get. 
  • Attend as many gathering and parties as much as you can. 
  • Applicants should avoid missing classess, as 70% of learning comes from students going to classes. 
  • Students can get invovlved with extracuricular activities, i.e joing university clubs, sports etc. This will also look good on a portfolio in the longer run.

2. Applicants must submit three LORs that have to speak about their past experience and performance for a successful completion of the MPH program.

There is no application fee for students if they apply through the university's official portal. However, if they opt to apply through the common application, then they must pay an amount of USD 50 (might vary; would suggest students to check before applying). For Postgraduate courses the application fee is USD55 however the application fee might be different depending on the course.

For undergraduates, the UM-Flint offers merit scholarships for international students based on their ACT or SAT scores and GPA. However, these test scores are not required for admission but are necessary for a scholarship.

However, UM-Flint offers graduate scholarships for newly admitted international students. UM-Flint offers scholarships for newly admitted international students with a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. These scholarships are worth 10,000 and will be awarded for up to two years.
